This forum doesn’t either. So how about we close it down so that thought can’t continue to spread, believing that it says something new by saying “thought has nothing new to tell”?
just because we don’t exist
it doesn’t mean we can’t
communicate
and
think together
indeed
our non existence
is a requisite for love
Yes there is a joy! The world is unfolding each moment and if the past is what meets it, there is no moving with it. Memory is not living, not moving. Nothing is static in the world. We can’t see it changing, growing etc but it never stops. It is only when ‘I don’t exist’, that I can move with it!
there is no when
to any of this
our non existence is now
the beautiful movement of now
Not beautiful or ugly
Not even ‘now’
It doesn’t exist!
Thought + Thought = Thought!
This is a koan: ‘what is the sound of a hand clapping?’ I see post after post in this thread that it is all trying to deny itself, there is no sense of koan here at all… I remember some of Krishnamurti’s jokes, maybe you would rather match something like that, because they were not good jokes, but they were at least acceptable.
Two gurus went into a bar…
Alright, Dan, that’s a start!
When the gurus raised their glasses to toast, one noticed the other’s right hand was bandaged. He asked “what happened”? And the other guru responded, “Oh you know, all that damn clapping!”
The devil is far in the corner - you know, Christian devil with two horns and tail - and there are two people talking together. One says to the other, ‘It’s very hot here, isn’t it?’ Hell - very hot. The other fellow says, ‘Yes, it’s very hot but dry heat’.
Two men are in heaven with wings and halo, all that. One says to the other, ‘If I am dead, why do I feel so awful?’
There is an Italian proverb that says: All the world is going to die, perhaps even I too! Do you see the joke of it?
There were three holy men in the Himalayas - of course, it has to be the Himalayas! Ten years pass, one of them says: ‘Oh, what a lovely evening this is!’ Another ten years pass and the other man says, ‘I hope it will rain.’ Another ten years pass and the third man says: ‘I wish you two would be quiet.’

thinking together is not accumulative
nor is it personal
to be able to think together
even though you and I don’t exist
as two separate personalities
is something joyous and beautiful
a miracle before us
look at it first and work it out carefully
(not on your own but choosing a friend wisely)
so that existence takes on a wholly different meaning
yes, there is thought upon thought
and many more to come
and there may even be a koan or two
to show us how damned clever we are
but we don’t have to live that way
do we
I think we are moving from koan to koanisqatsi.
failure is far more fruitful
than success can ever be

Neither failure nor success exist
It sounds strange that you forgot about it
to be able to think together
even though you and I don’t exist
as two separate personalities
is something joyous and beautiful
a miracle before us
Why did you add ‘before us’ when there is no one experiencing that supposed miracle in “thinking-together”?
(not on your own but choosing a friend wisely)
Why am I supposed to depend on a supposedly chosen friend with a wisdom I don’t have, to work it out carefully?
but we don’t have to live that way
In what way, if i may ask?
we are failing to communicate
even though there is no you and I
just see the beauty of it
it isn’t a problem to be solved
or a tragedy to be healed
or even a mistake in thought
we are failing at this
so it is a miracle before us
like any other simple fact
as simple as the sky
or a tree in a field
and what happens next is up to you
for we exist as friends
only when you and I
are not here
so let’s stop being clever
and find out
what it is
Juan
to be
really smart friends
who would rather fail at this
than succeed at anything else
This is a good example of failure to communicate.
don’t bother with examples
they are just pictures
with the truth taken out
don’t bother with examples
they are just pictures
with the truth taken out
Why bother with failure and success then if they are also “just pictures with the truth taken out”?

It depends what you mean by “fruit”.
Good health, wealth, self-esteem, the trust and approval of others is what most folks consider the fruit of success.
So what is the fruit of failure that you value so highly?
