Ukraine

Because this war has the potential to destroy humanity all together.

Which, as it stands, would be a good thing for every other living thing on the planet…

Patriotic Ukrainian song,

On the news, Morning Joe, which was on while Charley was doing other things, all of a sudden there was this song being played - sung in Ukrainian by a Ukrainian refugee with Lithuanians as chorus. One can’t actually speak Ukrainian apart from knowing a few words from childhood, but the beginning was so beautiful, that it touched the heart, and the beginning of ecstasy was felt. However, as the song continued, sorrow was felt, and tears welled up. There is in this song a message of national identity, as well as cultural identity, as well as the threat of “what is actually happening” in the Ukraine - genocide. Charley has never really felt identification with a country, the place where Charley was born. Charley only identified with the city where one was born, and that attachment to an identification was so strong that Charley decided to move elsewhere. Now, Charley can live anywhere on this earth.

Nationalism, attachment to any form of identification is an activity of the self - “my country”, “my city”, “my opinion”, “my thoughts”, “my speculation”, “my conclusions”, “my wife/husband/partner/child/home/property”, “my beliefs”, etc. - always the same, the action of the “self”, and always leading to violence, abuse.

Putin is, of course, hell-bent on wiping out that sense of nationalism, even if it means wiping out all of Ukraine. Of course, this is an entirely wrong/incorrect action, but nonetheless he is unaware of this - unaware that to kill another human being is abomination.

When one resorts to using any and all means to impose one’s “self” on anyone, etc., it indicates a complete lack of integrity - integrity meaning, firstly, that one says what one means, and means what one says. And secondly, that one is aware that the means determine what the results will be - in other words, that the means are the ends. To recall from K, when one takes a bucket to the well, when the bucket is dirty, the water one draws up will be contaminated, poisoned by the dirty bucket. All bullies use similar tactics, exercising pressure on their targets - a complete and utter horror to witness. So, Putin the bully has issued his ultimatum for the Ukrainians to surrender in Mariupol, a kind of “last chance” threat, or be annihilated.

If anyone is interested in listening to the song:

Ой у лузі червона калина (Oy u luzi chervona kalyna)https://lyricstranslate.com

the English translation to this song:

In the meadow, a red kalyna

Surrender to evil and become a slave.

Sociopaths,

Putin (as well as Trump) are both narcissists and psychopaths, ergo - what is also known as sociopaths…

The narcissist, as Madeleine Albright. who had met Putin, saw him as… a very smart man. Clever would be an understatement - the intellectual side…of him, analyzing and calculating everything, someone who thinks he knows everything, and knows what is best for everyone… Also Trump, with his endless twitter rants, always having an answer for everything. Incredible the extent to which they can rationalize, justify, etc. everything they say, as well as how they defend their position… Another characteristic is the charming way they advance all their statements, how they “know” how to communicate with their less smart followers…how both of them “spin” words (K) and sound logical to their audience… both always explaining to their selected audiences (through social media and TV) an endless explanation of their position, which both seem incapable to letting go of…

The psychopath - both Putin and Trump (Charley’s go-to-example): both into power: manifesting through 3 main behaviour characteristics: invasiveness, manipulation, and domination. [Trump’s niece made it so clear in her book on Trump as both a narcissist and a psychopath…]

  • Invasiveness - won’t take “no” for an answer (directly or indirectly), so will continue to pressure their target (“last chance” - which both of these men demonstrated continually, never accepting that they could lose), etc… Putin’s brutal “invasion” of Crimea, Georgia, Syria, Norway, Poland, etc. etc. etc. Trump’s “lock her up”, “stop the steal”, etc. phrases which invaded the consciousness of his followers… so that his followers end up repeating similar phrases from the sociopath…

  • Manipulation - will use any and all means to get what they want (Putin and Trump), boy, can both of these guys strategize !.. really extraordinary how they can dupe the weak-minded…

  • Domination - both like to lead everyone and all, etc. They both play god… finding someone or some country to target, blame and denigrate, etc… - all with an end-purpose to maintain their position of power over others. Both of these men also seem to have similar characteristics of inspiring others to follow him, believe in him, trust in him…

There is the understanding that when someone is both of these main characteristics - narcissist and psychopath, one may be what is known as the sociopath.

K referred to the Soviets as “brutal”. While not everyone in Russia is like that (there were Russian soldiers who refused to carry out the orders of their commanders, protesters, journalists, etc.), K’s understanding does carry weight for a large majority of that population, who know only what their conditioning has indoctrinated into them to be, while having endured centuries of authoritarian autocrats.

Both of these two men have exhibited brutal indifference to the plight of others for their actions (Trump watched the Jan.6 debacle, only noting how the invaders of the White House were supporting him…)

Both men have no capacity whatsoever to feel any true remorse for any of their actions, for their words, so any “apology” from either of them would be meaningless (a sociopath or a narcissist might apologize but would then continue to behave as if they had never apologized - because there are always two parts to any real apology, right? - the “I’m sorry” part said with remorse and then because of remorse, they would change their behaviour, immediately… Both of such behaviours (which are both associated with the one who is both a narcissist and a psychopath - when combined as the sociopath) are abomination (K) to witness… an ugly horror to witness.

One of the most horrid and striking behaviours of the sociopath is their inherent tendency to divide people into “us” and “them”, to separate parts of humanity into little groups. They do this by lying about others, especially when “the other” refuses to “co-operate” with their antics - repeated pressure tactics, belittling, denigrating, ad hominem attacks, etc. - whatever works for them. K said that it is important to know when to co-operate and when not to, he called that wisdom…

How did krishnamurti knew about all these ? This is what is happening in Europe right now!

I don’t know how he knew this, but by observing what is he will have seen it , as we can observe the fact that’s not only happening now in Ukraine but all over the world in different gradations as well between communities as between persons.

As long as peoples are in need of leaders this will be common.

Examiner,

Observation of “what is happening” outside of oneself sees facts, and facts do not tend to change over time. History repeats itself, one war is as brutal as the next. Rich businessmen (the autocrats of their industries) in many countries have tamped down on workers striking for hundreds of years.
