Silencing

Either way, Silence has an impact on what happens.

The other day at the Dutch Retreat, a silence quarter was planned before breakfast.

Initially I was very sceptical about it, but during the week it seemed as if this quarter became shorter and shorter. For me, at least, it also seemed to affect my appetite to talk at length at the table and the noise from the other tables did seem louder.

At the evaluation meeting, I recited a poem that had been lingering in my head for 1 1/2 day since a video an the dialogue thereafter and apparently wanted to be manifested.

The spontaneous silence after the poem was of a totally different quality.

So even silence can be significant.
