Attachment to a person or to a pet is not love.

Well, first one has to know what that word love means. There is love between two people when there is self-understanding or learning.

Love feels like a seeing with the strength of understanding.
Love is interesting. Even in the face of great hardship, it doesnā€™t run away and separate itself from what is. It can overcome any state and circumstance. Love is an energy for Life to persevere.

I feel that for those who have their essential needs met, neurological, environmental, nurture, etc, they have a greater opportunity (and responsibility) to live a life of freedom than those who donā€™t. A balanced sane environment allows capacity for independent thought.

From another lens, I see a beauty to love in the fact that its formless, making it incorruptible and accessible to any state of mind.

Doesnā€™t love (wisdom) show itself in the subtlest sense of understanding life around as well as in intricate complexities of relationship?

Love and death go together. Without death thought takes over and the whole movement of conflict begins . So in order to know what love is one has to know what death is . . And that is the difficulty, living with death to understand itā€¦

Thought has no relationship to love. Thought is measureā€¦ thought is comparisonā€¦ thought is a dead thing from the left over of the past memories ā€¦Thought prevents love through the self images that it makesā€¦
