‘To turn the other cheek’ does not mean you surrender. It means you don’t react to it, you act… and this is a Krishnamurti’s maxim. It means that if someone offends you you don’t offend back, thus perpetuating the terms of a conflict. You face the offence and let intelligence tell you what to do next knowing in advance that conflict is not the way to live.
