Self-identity

Necessarily or not, I am the past, accumulated knowledge. But I am also awareness, so there’s the freedom to be aware of my relationship with knowledge/belief, and that freedom is a threat to the continuity I am, which is unthinkable.

Not a “who”…essentially awareness.

Can you know you’re awareness without thought assuring you that you are awareness, and not thought pretending to be awareness?

Thought can’t ‘grasp awareness, awareness is ‘grasping’ it?

Thought/thinking is a ‘movement’, it comes and goes…awareness seems not that way?

Awareness isn’t personal?

No ‘my’ awareness or ‘your’ awareness?

As I’ve said, I think of awareness as nothing more than light, illumination; it doesn’t grasp anything, but exposes everything.

Thought/thinking is a ‘movement’, it comes and goes…awareness seems not that way?

When does thought “go”? It seems to me that it is constant, continuous. Even if you think it’s discontinuous, you can’t know when it isn’t active because you can’t know anything without thought.

Awareness isn’t personal?

Awareness is personal in that it’s a function of the individual brain, but it’s as impersonal as light is when illuminating actuality.
