Love?

K very clearly shows how that sort of life leads to division and destruction. It certainly not ok for me. It’s like the wars that are going on. That war has started in my head and your head as our brain is working in selfishness, division and destruction. To say that is ok and I am fine with it, is not ok for me.

:exploding_head:

Waoh! Thats amazing - Our refusal of division as the action of division. What an excellent description.

‘Refusal’ or ‘approval’ is the ‘darkness of division’? Nature is a mystery, isn’t it? Such an enormous creator or field of ‘pain’ and ‘destruction’ : the predator tearing apart its prey , cataclysms killing millions of living things, etc and all within the energy field of ‘no division’…Love?

Are both the embracing and rejection of the brain’s divisionism acts of divisionism?

I should have read your posting more carefully!

Thought or Thinker is an addiction as it is desire.
What makes a person drop their addiction. If you are completely lost in it, then you need someone to point to it and there should be at least brief moments where you are not lost and are able to listen to the pointer. Krishnamurti’s role is to speak to others and point.
We are in darkness and he as a pointer is the flag.
Then in that brief moment in which you are able to listen, you see the danger of addiction and don’t move in that direction. So the light has dispelled the darkness at that moment. Once you move again to darkness, to addiction, you are lost again.
So how deep do we see the danger in the brief moment we listen to K.

If you see something is poison and still drink it, it is madness

Hello,07007.
He speaks of human beings in general, he isn’t judging anybody here. Don’t forget that we must understand what Krishnamurti says IN CONTEXT.

Hello, Rick!
Essence of Love seems to me to be a bit too much!! Krishnamurti’s teachings are holistic, that’ s the beauty of it. Actually he says that love, beauty and truth are one. We can have a perception of Love, that is all. If and when there is this perception you know your responsibility as a human being is clearer.

And how open are we to what we see?

That madness is (seems to be) a ‘feature’ of humans, incoherent thought, neurosis.

I understand. It’s like trying to distill LIFE down to a tidy formula. At least it can be. Is there a way we may explore the essence of love without robbing it of its life and mystery?

Is love an energy, perhaps greater than light? Is love a flow mediated through the human psyche? Does love dissolve barriers, merge molecules or open new dimesnions?

The way you put it reminds me of Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde! No, what we can do is ‘clean the slate’ and ‘leave the door open’, be alert and care about what comes to you. But there are no formulas, as you know.
