We who are alive now certainly don’t. And in terms of mental evolution, for those who are locked into psychological becoming, intelligence is far off and in the realm of a pipe dream. For those who are free from psychological becoming, intelligence is here, no ‘learning curve’ necessary. ?

The brain locked into psychological becoming immediately becomes heroic, noble, admirable when it believes it can free itself from itself and commits itself to the task, the hero’s journey of finding the key. Its motto is, “The brain cannot be free until it finds the key”,
Or, if the brain locked into psychological becoming believes the key cannot be found, it immediately becomes a proud convict of its prison making the most of its limitations.
Belief is psychological transformation.
To me there is something wrong with this kind of outlook, it is not realistic or truthful. Life is not about self-hypnosis or positive thinking but it is about being truthful to oneself.
Is there no truth in the idea that social animals mechanically obtain some chemical high from helping each other?
