One thing its about is that by naming things we know them.
For example : me, self, awareness, now, here, tree etc
We use words like these to point at certain concepts, which is useful with regards to a goal.
For example : sharing ideas, building pyramids, reinforcing habits etc
The common illusion is that by knowing something, the thing is considered to exist as I know it to be - my knowledge becomes my projection of reality.
And I build from this illusory basis. I think that my confused statements and beliefs are based on somethng real (that exists in my absence) rather than concepts dependant on discrimination.
Now only has meaning in relation to my past. Me has no meaning without you.
What do all the words and the concepts of the Teaching mean to me? What is my goal?

āGoalsā seem fine and necessary if Iām building a pyramid or making a table but do they have any significant place in the psyche? There is a āfutureā when the table will be finished if I work at it. But when I imagine that that same type of future will produce a finished, enlightened me, a me who has ended discontent, fear, etc ; change may occur but it cannot be the āreal changeā that puts an end to the cause of the suffering: me, (the I process)? But we are so habituated to ātimeā as the only means of change, Kās āfreedom is at the beginningā is nonsensical. Yet it has the ring of ātruthā?
As does this:: āChange is the denial of changeā.
If by āpsycheā you mean thought, the mechanism by which we imagine ourselves and our environment, our reality, isnāt it driven by discontent?
If the human brain was choicelessly aware of how it deceives itself, it would be driven not by its urge to find contentment, but by the urgency of addressing the problem of incoherent thought because it is the cause of the human condition.
What is āincoherent thoughtā as you see it? Why and when is it incoherent?
Thought is incoherent when practical thought is infused with psychological thought causing conflict and confusion.
